The Positions window under the Trading menu displays information on the total number of trades for all asset classes. The position refers to the amount of a contract either owned (which constitutes a long position) or borrowed (which constitutes a short position) by an individual or broker that is a trade an investor currently holds open.
Positions is really an aggregate of both detailed and average positions. The summary level represents a summary position, which pulls in all of the detailed activity for the position. If you expand a particular symbol you will notice all of the detailed activity contained underneath the summary.
The contents of this window can be easily expanded and contracted in one simple button click. You can find those functions in the context menu in this window. Additionally, all of the columns can be sorted to assist you in finding the information you need quickly.
